Case Study

Stobart Air

Stobart Air, part of the Stobart Group, operates two complementary airport facilities, London Southend Airport (LSA) and Carlisle Lake District Airport. Following the completion of London Southend Airport, Stobart Air will grow significantly as it helps LSA service two million passengers each year.

The brief

When Stobart first approached us, time was of the essence. EasyJet was due to start operating at one of the runways that Stobart is responsible for in a matter of weeks, and they needed a large number of vehicles specified, designed and delivered before the deadline. We had five weeks, and there was no question of an extension.

The solution

We sat down with our contacts at Stobart and listened carefully to what they had to say about their requirements. We spent the following week developing the specs. These were quickly agreed by the client, and we used the remaining time to acquire the equipment and modify the vehicles. Then, in true 2Rent style, we delivered on time and on budget. The operational vehicles supplied included a Fire Chief Vehicle, 4x4 Operative Vehicles, Police Vehicles with scarecrow sirens and LED boards, and Airport Workshop Vehicles.

Don’t take our word for it

“2Rent came recommended to us, and I now know why. They are straightforward, true to their word and totally reliable. We gave them a tough set of requirements and a tight time window, and they delivered.”

Neale Burdon, Stobart Air.
